Michael coordinates, maintains and develops a genome analysis facility to serve the needs of academics, postdoctoral research fellows, research assistants and postgraduate students in the School undertaking research in the area of molecular biology, molecular genetics or genomics. He contributes to the training of staff and students in the use of equipment in the facility, including providing advice on experimental design and interpretation of data. He contributes to the development of funding applications to support the purchase of new equipment to expand the facility and keep it current.
