Francesca supervises and maintains the School’s preparative and ultra-centrifuges, freeze dryers, speed-vacs, cell disruptors and other small equipment in the communal scientific facility areas. Provides staff and students training, operation and expert advice on sample preparation for the above equipment. Assists in operation and maintenance of the Elemental Analysis of facility. Assists the Scientific Manager and other scientific staff as needed with general staff backup arrangements. Contributes to funding applications to support the purchase of new equipment for these facilities as well as other general school scientific equipment as needed. Supports the cryogenic storage facility when needed. Serves as fire warden for Bldg 76.
