Speaker: Dr Ivan Liachko from Phase Genomics
Bio: Dr. Liachko is a scientist and entrepreneur with three decades of experience in molecular genetics and computational biology. He is a co-founder of Seattle-based Phase Genomics and two stealth startups. He is one of the original inventors of Phase’s core technology and has served as CEO and CSO of Phase Genomics since its founding in 2015. He has authored over 50 peer-reviewed papers and patents specializing in the field of genetics, genomics, and synthetic biology. Dr. Liachko received his Ph.D. at Cornell University and did his postdoctoral work at the University of Washington. He is passionate about applying genomic technology to improve our world and serves as scientific advisor and mentor to several life science startups.
About School research seminars
Seminars cover all aspects of chemistry and molecular biosciences and are delivered by visiting national and international academics. PhD completion seminars are also incorporated into the program.
