Our honours programs enhance your employment opportunities and provide direct entry to postgraduate training.
Our programs
You can study honours as a single year after completing the three-year Bachelor of Science (BSc) or three-year Bachelor of Biotechnology (BBiotech) degrees, or as the final year of a four-year Bachelor of Advanced Science (BAdvSc) program.
Choose from:
- Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) (4 years)
- Bachelor of Biotechnology (Honours) (1 year)
- Bachelor of Science (Honours) (1 year).
Several of our degree programs are accredited by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute.
What's involved
You'll pursue formal coursework and an individual research project under the supervision of a School academic or qualified external supervisor.
Undertaking honours will:
- provide you with invaluable in-depth training, particularly in the areas of research methods, problem solving and communication skills
- help you develop and demonstrate your capabilities for critical thought
- prepare you for a research higher degree.
