Presenter: Dr Michael Chao Associate Editor, Nature Microbiology publication

As Associate Editor of the Nature Microbiology, Michael will share his professional wealth of knowledge, writing practices and editing skills. This interactive workshop is open to all but intended for students and post docs working on publications. Michael Chao first developed an interest in bacterial pathogenesis while at Cornell University. He then earned his PhD in Biomedical and Biological Sciences from Harvard University in Eric Rubin's laboratory, studying cell wall remodelling in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. From 2012-2015, he continued training as a postdoctoral fellow in Matthew Waldor's laboratory at Harvard Medical School, investigating the role of DNA methylation on regulating fundamental cellular processes in Vibrio cholerae.
