Amanda coordinates and maintains the Mass Spectrometry (MS) facility.  Provide research and teaching support to students and staff regarding MS across both biological and chemical applications (including identification/accurate mass, characterisation, quantitation). She provides instrument training and support for Circular Dichroism spectroscopy, contributes to and assists with funding applications to support the purchase of new equipment in the MS facility, as well as other general school scientific equipment.

Amanda supervises a number of scientific staff. She is a member of the Space and Facilities Management Committee and the School's representative on other ad hoc committees (eg FoS Research Infrastructure working group).  She also oversees the equipment repair budget (EQREPS) and serves as fire warden for the Molecular Biosciences Building.
