Matt assists the Manager, Teaching Laboratory Services in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the undergraduate teaching laboratories in the Chemistry Building. The Laboratory Coordinator has a precise knowledge of the responsibilities and functions of the Manager so as to provide assistance and deputise as necessary. The position also has a major role in the preparation and conduct of practical classes including preparation of reagents/materials to support experiments and assisting with development of new practicals. Other roles include day-to-day operation and maintenance of equipment and participation in tutor training.
