Vita coordinates RealTime PCR and Flow Cytometry facilities in the school. Supports the Microscopy and Imaging Facility. Contributes to training of staff and students in the use of equipment in facilities, advises on experimental design and data interpretation. Contributes to funding applications to support the purchase of new equipment for these facilities as well as other general school scientific equipment as needed. Coordinates and manages the School’s cryostorage facility including training and maintenance. Directly supervises two HEW 6 Scientific Officers in the school’s scientific facilities stream. Serves as an IATA certified Dangerous Goods shipper for SCMB staff. Servse as fire warden for Bldg 76.
