Vita oordinates and maintain the RealTime PCR and Flow Cytometry facilities in the school. She contributes to the training of staff and students in the use of equipment in the facilities, and provides advice on experimental design and interpretation of data.
Vita contributes to the development of funding applications to support the purchase of new equipment for these facilities as well as other general school scientific equipment. She supervises a HEW 5 Scientific Officer, serves as an IATA certified Dangerous Goods shipper for SCMB staff (advise, supervise, certify shipping of DG and biological goods), and is a fire warden for the Molecular Biosciences Building.
