Associate Professor Karla Helbig – La Trobe University
Karla Helbig obtained her PhD from Adelaide University in 2003, prior to beginning a postdoctoral role in Hepatitis C Research at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. In 2006 she was awarded a Peter Doherty Early Career NHMRC fellowship, to begin her own group at Adelaide University, working on antiviral innate immunity. She relocated to La Trobe University in 2015, where she heads the Microbiology Discipline, as well as the Antiviral Innate Immunology and Viral Genomics Group.
About School research seminars
Seminars cover all aspects of chemistry and molecular biosciences and are delivered by visiting national and international academics. PhD completion seminars are also incorporated into the program.
Seminars are usually held in person and occasionally via zoom. All are welcome to attend.
