Log in to my.UQ's higher degree by research pages (requires UQ login) for advice and resources to support you through every stage of your candidature - from accepting your offer to award of your degree.
You'll find information about:
- key dates and getting started
- managing your candidature, including changes, progress reviews and extensions
- thesis preparation, submission and examination.
In addition to the help you'll find on my.UQ, our School also provides substantial support to candidates.
By the time you undertake your confirmation of candidature review, at least two advisers and a review panel of two or more academic staff members will have provided additional advice and mentorship and guidance on your progress.
Our HDR team will oversee your progress and help you navigate tasks and timelines.
Skills training
Throughout your candidature you'll have opportunities to develop your skills by attending professional development workshops and forums on a range of topics such as career development and communication skills

Research Students Advisory Group
Have your say and join our Research Students Advisory Group, or submit your feedback to its members.
The group provides representation for honours and higher degree by research students to enable:
- the School to consult and advise you on policy developments and changes
- you to raise concerns and make suggestions about the School's operation as it affects you.
Members also organise regular social events and workshops, including the annual SCMB Research Students Symposium.
