Our Biotechnology master's programs are recognised by the US Council of Graduate Schools as affiliated Professional Science Master's Programs.

Scholarships and prizes

Every year we offer up to six 50 per cent tuition fee waiver scholarships to international students who apply to enrol in the Master of Biotechnology, Master of Molecular Biology or Master of Bioinformatics programs. 

We offer:

  • up to four scholarships to students from India (two are reserved for Master of Biotechnology students)
  • up to two scholarships to students from Latin America.

We also award a range of merit-based School prizes to high-achieving students.

UQ Summer and Winter Research Programs

UQ Winter Research Program

Undergraduates who have completed at least one year of study at the time of application, and master's by coursework students, can apply for a UQ Winter Research Scholarship.

The program runs for four to six weeks over the winter vacation period (from mid-June to mid-July 2018).

All successful winter scholars receive a scholarship, and you can count your participation towards attainment of the UQ Employability Award.
